Understanding Building Ventilation

“Attics or roofs can be designed and constructed to be either vented or unvented.. The choice of venting or not venting is a design and construction choice not a requirement determined by the physics or by the building code. The model building codes allow both vented and unvented roof assemblies. The applicable physics impacts the design of attic or roof systems as does the applicable building code but neither limit the choice.” Building Science Digest

AGL On The Blue Book

Have you seen AGL on The Blue Book? Select project details are available, including our work for:

  • Bryn Mawr Rehab Hospital
  • Pyromet Manufacturing
  • Queen Appliance
  • Ross – Drexel Hill, PA
  • …And More!

AGL works with builders, architects, project managers, and engineers to incorporate Spray Foam Insulation in their projects.

Builders have been concerned for years with adequate building and roof ventilation and are often confused when attempting to use SPF in new projects.

Using SPF is a design choice and will NOT compromise ventilation requirements in your building. Using SPF technology will help you “Build it tight and ventilate it right.”
